Riverside Exhibition Centre

Located within the Caledonia Fair Grounds and beside the Grand River, the Riverside Exhibition Centre was completely renovated in 2020

With a 14,000 sq foot hall, the REC is the perfect venue for concerts, ceremonies, receptions, tradeshows and more.

Patterson Brothers Riverwalk

The Patterson Brothers Riverwalk is located along the scenic Grand River on Forfar Street East.

The illuminated path is doted with benches for visitors to sit and enjoy the river view.

Little Free Libraries

“Take a book – return a book – donate a book!”

Caledonia is fortunate to have free “Little Libraries” at the following locations:

  • In front of Caledonia Legion, 29 Caithness Street East
  • Parkette next to the Oasis Drive In, 22 Argyle Street South
  • Parkette by Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School, 35 Braemar Avenue
  • In front of St Patrick’s Elementary School, 81 Orkney Street, East

Hamilton Hunt Club

The Hamilton Hunt and Equestrian Sports Club is a Volunteer run, not for profit organization that has been operating since 1958.

The Club hosts 10 horse shows between May and October each year.  Spectators are most welcome!

In the fall, the Club hosts Field Hunts.  Field Hunting is a friendly and noncompetitive sport where the main objective is to enjoy the scenic country side and follow the well trained pack of hounds at work.  Rather than an actual “hunt”, Field Hunting is a very traditional pursuit with a strict etiquette, eager horses and occasionally plenty of mud!

For a real life Downton Abbey experience, come out and hear the hear, see the hounds and smell the horse leather!

Grand River Dinner Cruises

Grand River Dinner Cruises is located just minutes from downtown Caledonia, on 36 Brant County Road, Caledonia.

The tranquil Grand River in Caledonia is the perfect place to take a river cruise!  Enjoy a delicious home-style meal at your private window table, soak up the sun on the promenade deck or experience a 90 minute Nature Cruise.

Private Cruise packages are available for private or corporate functions.

Old Mill

The iconic Caledonia Mill was built in 1853 and is one of the last remaining examples of a water-powered industrial structure.

The Mill has been lovingly restored and is currently being utilized as office space.  Mill artifacts are on display in the foyer area.


Killman Zoo

Killman Zoo is a 9 acre Wildlife Sanctuary  located approximately 2.5 miles north of downtown Caledonia.

The Sanctuary is home to exotic, rare and endangered animals.  Many of the animals at the Sanctuary have been rescued by the Zoo.

The Killman family and dedicated Volunteers have created a natural environment with safe enclosures for the comfort of the animals and visitors alike.
